Stargazing sleepover:

See who can spot the most stars in the night sky!

What to look out for:
  • Shooting stars
  • Really bright stars
  • Funny shapes and constellations
  • Stars that move - these are likely to be satellites high up in space
  • If you go out just after sunset, you may be able to find Venus, which is a very bright light in the sky
Did you know?
  • Imaginary lines are drawn between groups of stars to form constellations. Constellations make it easier to spot stars in the night sky and in the olden days sailors used the stars and constellations to guide them.
