What you'll need:

  • Camera

Nature trail treasure chest

All good adventurers should keep a log book so you can tell your friends and family all about your experiences. As you explore, look at the big trees, pretty plants and tiny animals – and remember to write down what you see in your book.

What to look out for:
  • What leaves can you find?
What shape are they? What is their colour?
  • What colour are the plants? What shape are the petals?
  • Can you hear any birds? What kind of noise do they make?
  • Can you see any animals? What are they?
  • Are there animal tracks on the ground?
Your adventure:
  • Watch out for those creepy crawlies?
  • Have you managed to escape a monster, or helped rescue an animal? Don't forget to write this down in your log book!
  • Take photos of things you like, print out the picture and stick it into your log book
  • Treasure hunt! Write down all the bits and pieces you find as you never know - you could dig up some real treasure!
